SAILS College Students
SAILS (Supported Academics and Independent Life Skills) is designed to help Seattle Central College students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neuro-diversities. Our SAILS Team assists students with necessary supports such as navigating registration, meeting with the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) and advising, communication with teachers, SCC staff and parents and providing professional tutoring.
SAILS is a program under Mainstay at Seattle Central College.
Mainstay has been providing employment support services in the Seattle area for over 35 years. We take the knowledge and skills we’ve gained through job experience, specialize our work and apply it to academic support services to students at Seattle Central College. Mainstay is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International) for transition services, employment planning services, job development, job support, and job-site training. SAILS students work in partnership with Mainstay staff to obtain internships and competitive employment when ready!
